Community Fund a FreeWheel for Killian McCarty
My name is Killian. I am 9 years old. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. The form of CP I have is quadriplegia, meaning all four limbs are affected. I cannot walk independently, although when I was younger I could walk around with the help of a walker. As I got older, my bones grew faster than my muscles, making my muscles very tight, and I could get around much easier in a wheelchair. I wear AFOs on my legs to help keep my feet in the right position. I also have a wicked cool scar from my hip and femur reconstruction surgery. But all that doesn't really tell you about ME. I am in fourth grade, and have a ton of friends. I easily make friends everywhere I go. I suppose it's because of my big smile and funny sense of humor. I am stubborn and determined, which helps me reach my goals any way that I can, but it does drive my mom crazy. I enjoy camping and fishing, playing tennis, archery and playing video games.
Killian will be participating in the LIMBitless Challenge 2018 at Table Rock. The FreeWheel will allow Killian to safely tackle the rough terrain of Table Rock with more ease.
We at The Steadfast Foundation want to help provide Killian a FreeWheel Wheelchair attachment, BUT we need your help! As a community let us all come together to spread the word and to raise the funds needed for Killian’s FreeWheel.
