Community Fund a FreeWheel for Mikayla Leavitt
Mikayla Leavitt is a beautiful, vibrant, full of life 9 year old born with Spina Bifida. She is able to walk with the assistance of AFO's but for long distances and certain activities she must use her wheelchair. Mikayla loves sports. She plays Coach pitch baseball with a special needs group in Idaho Falls as well as sled hockey and this year she tried soccer for the first time! She loves to spend time with her friends, many of who have Spina Bifida as well. Her family loves to do things together and they have tried to hike a few times but it is to difficult for her to navigate and her chair is hard to get through many areas. Mikayla’s family lives near Teton National Forrest and Yellowstone and she loves to go there but has been mostly confined to thew view from the car as they are unable to get her into many areas. With the help of the FreeWheel, Mikayla will be able to explore the outdoors and experience it all from outside her car.
With your help The Steadfast Foundation will provide Mikayla with a FreeWheel Wheelchair Attachment.
